Cedar Pruitt writes poetry, humorous nonfiction and endless personal essays. She has most recently been published in McSweeney's (#8), Exquisite Corpse (#14), Stirring (v2:e7) and was the featured nonfiction author in Identity Theory (April, May, June 2003). She is currently seeking a publisher for her completed children's book manuscript, which tells the story of a weekend in the interrupted, sibling-addled life of an imaginative girl named Mina. She is also revising her novel about idealism, narcissism, nonprofits, ego, love and lust.

Cedar has been writing and editing articles about politics, education, technology, health care, law and the Internet since 1998. She holds a Master's degree in Technology in Education from Harvard's Graduate School of Education and a bachelor's degree in critical theory and media studies from Hampshire College. She worked for the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School as a reporter, researcher and web developer, at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government as a web designer and Internet technologies instructor, and as webmaster at a few other places, including a Cambridge-based ice cream enterprise and a Chicago futures trading firm. Not to mention EDC!
